This article is abosolutely NOT for engineers!

What would you do if someone asked you to choose between your dream and a ‘safe’ future? Would you take a leap of faith? That’s exactly what this 20-year-old told did when he agreed to take up engineering but only him a camera.

Tushar Dixit. 20. Engineering student. Videographer. Shoots and works with your favourite Indian youtubers. To keep chasing his passions, he made two deals: One with his parents and another with his college- things we do for love?!

When everyone in the family is either a doc or eng, the pressures can be really high. And the craze Indian parents have for careers like Engineering or Medical is not hidden. Tushar grew up in a family of extremely educated people and they always saw him as a bright engineer/doctor kid (read: every second Indian kid).

But, he always saw the world through a lens and knew he wanted to pursue the world of cameras and equipment. He wanted to get a camera to begin his journey and his parents were against him taking interest in videography. He somehow managed to convince them to get him a camera with a barter deal that he will pursue engineering in return. In college too, he made videos for his college for free in return for free attendance.
